Small town tyranny: America's dirty little secret

Tyranny not only runs rampant in the Beltway and urban areas, the terrorization of rural citizens has reached monumental proportions. One only needs to look at Taylor County, Wisconsin, to see the official bullying and coercion that goes on across the country every day. Let’s start with voter intimidation.
In June of 2010, an American citizen and resident of the village of Rib Lake properly circulated a petition to recall village president, and local big fish in a small pond, Wayne Tlusty. When Mr. Tlusty got word of the petition, he and the village clerk summoned the Chief of Police and ordered him to go to the home of everyone who signed the petition. Can you imagine what it would be like to exercise your lawful right as a citizen only to find a law enforcement official at your door demanding that you explain yourself? No? Then you don’t live in Taylor County, Wisconsin. Things like this happen all the time here, thanks to a few residents who think they are better, and far more privileged than the rest of us. This sort of cronyism is more of a threat to American liberty than anything DC does. As a result of Mr. Tlusty’s unlawful action, many people requested their name be removed from the petition for justifiable fear of retribution. How is this not voter intimidation in the same manner as the New Black Panther Party threatening voters in front of a polling place?
Like the Panthers, Mr. Tlusty and his cohorts got off scott-free, thanks in part to a no-talent and equally corrupt District Attorney, Karl Kelz. Mr. Kelz, or as I like to call him, Boss Hogg, is another big fish in this very small pond. He uses his office to intimidate those he doesn’t like, while looking the other way when a gross violation of federal voting laws has occurred right under his snout. Kelz has been disciplined by the Supreme Court of Wisconsin, but manages to keep his job by providing favors for his buds. A local judge just declared a mistrial in a sexual assault case because Kelz either 1) tried to stack the jury by allowing the relative of the alleged victim to be seated on said jury, or 2) is so inept that during the jury selection process he didn’t bother to inquire about any pre-existing relationships. Either way, ol’ Boss has egg on his face, and the citizens of Taylor County are once again denied due process. Nice going Karl.
So, while a nation is focused on our dwindling rights, the sad fact remains that those of us most at risk of government tyranny are already being silenced by local government officials. If you want to help set things straight here in Taylor County, we would sincerely appreciate any effort that gets the attention of the national media (especially John Stossel).
Please, share this with as many people as you can. Taylor County has become a police state. Please help us fight back.
